Kevin Verpaele

Kevin Verpaele was a senior in high school when his family began to bloom. Impregnating his girlfriend prior to high school completion, their first child was born just after graduation for Verpaele. He and then-girlfriend Kathleen Rao welcomed Kaley Verpaele into the world in June 1999. Together, the family of three moved onto the University of South Florida where studies not only unfolded, but football games -- per Verpaele’s scholarship -- and additional family growth. Second child Karys was born during these collegiate years and Verpaele married Rao as a sophomore. The couple continued on to Brevard County, Florida, welcoming four more children in the years that followed -- James in 2005, Kevin in 2008, Jase in 2014 and Charlee Mae in 2016. Today, oldest daughter Kaley attends the University of Alabama on a full soccer scholarship. Karys attends Cocoa Beach High School as a ninth grader with younger siblings James and Kevin in seventh and third grade, respectively. Jase and Charlee, the youngest and still quite young, are still enjoying toddler life.
